Christmas Special Home Decors
The Christmas holidays are perfect for spending time with your loved ones and eating delicious food. You can easily spread the holiday cheer this season by embellishing your home with Christmas decor. Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands, ornaments, tableware, lights, stockings, and other holiday accents can transform any space into a festive wonderland. Christmas decor accents come in many different colours and patterns, so you can cultivate your unique look this holiday season. From traditional to coastal Christmas, our holiday decorations are made to help you celebrate the holiday in style. But first, we would like to share with you two of the wonderful and easy DIY for your Christmas.
For this craft, you'll need Old crayons, Glass votives (small juice glasses can be used as well), Wax, Wicks, Dixie cups (or any paper cup), Popsicle sticks (for stirring).
Once you’ve gathered your supplies and set up a workspace near your microwave, this project is fairly simple and would be a great craft to do with a friend. You can blend the rainbow colours one after the other or your own colours to experiment with different colour combinations as well.
The first step is to peel the paper off your crayons. You can either use a knife or soak the crayons in water for easy peeling.
Next, fill a dixie cup with wax and microwave for 1 minute. Give it a stir and microwave again in 30-second intervals until wax is completely melted.
Take a glass votive and keeping a wick in centre pour a thin layer of wax into the bottom of each votive and place the candle wick in the centre. Let it harden.
Follow the same step for a different layer of colours. And your rainbow Candle will be ready.
For this craft, you'll need a pair of old socks that are crew length, or longer, scissors, glue, colourful buttons and other decoration materials.
First, cut off the top of the sock from the foot.
Turn the sock inside out and attach a rubber band tightly to the top of the sock. Then turn the sock right-side out again.
Fill the sock with rice. Make sure to pack it down as you go so the sock gets a nice round base.
Rubber band the top of the sock closed and put another rubber band 3/4 of the way to the top for the head of your snowman.
Now, decorate! Tie a scarf around your snowman's neck and add eyes, nose, and buttons. I used map pins for my eyes. Unfortunately, I didn't have any black ones, so I coloured white ones with a sharpie and stuck them in.
Use the toe of your cut socks to fashion a stocking cap.
You can either sew or glue on your buttons, and add embellishments - twine, bows, ribbons, etc - as needed.
This is such a quick and easy craft - 10 minutes tops - that it would be simple to create a whole family of snowmen for your mantle!
